2025 GMSP Rules & Regulations

Goffstown Main Street Program’s (GMSP) primary goal is the economic vitality of the Historic Village of Goffstown, and we are honored to have you as a partner. We host events to showcase the historic village and all it has to offer. Our events serve the dual purpose of building a stronger community as well as promoting the historic village as a place to shop, eat, live, and work. In return, GMSP hopes that you will understand that our policies are to uphold(?) the best interest of all parties as well as the businesses and organizations within the historic village (ourselves included). As such, GMSP may need to limit vendors/exhibitors that directly compete with the sales and services of the businesses in the historic business district. Above all, we want our events to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our guests. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email PR@goffstownmainstreet.org

1. All applications undergo a review process. If your application is approved, you will receive an email confirmation within 4 business days. If GMSP is unable to accept your application (for reasons outlined within), you will receive an explanation via email within 4 business days and payment will be returned, if applicable.

2. Event will be held rain or shine unless there is a safety issue. We suggest you be prepared for inclement weather (canopies, rain shields, etc.). If GMSP needs to cancel the event for safety reasons, we will contact you via email as soon as that decision is made.

3. GMSP reserves the right to assign your booth space & location, unless you own the underlying property. Since we must take into consideration your requested space, electricity, other vendors and the sales and services of the businesses in the Village of Goffstown. GMSP asks that you NOT plan or coordinate with businesses and property owners to set up on their property.

4. You are responsible for providing a table, a tent, or another way to display your items.

5. Set up begins at 7:00am each day. Please be ready by 9am and remain open until 4pm on Saturday and ready by 9:30am and remain open until 3pm on Sunday. This helps to keeps our guests engaged throughout the duration of the event.

6. On the day of the event, please check in at the GMSP office at 4 Main Street, #2 BEFORE you set up to ensure you have correctly identified your location and that nothing has changed. The decision where to place your booth made by the GMSP is final. Even if you have been a partner with GMSP in the past or for other events, we cannot guarantee the same location each year. Please do not ask to be moved unless there is an issue of safety. GMSP may ask you to move to another location if an unforeseen problem arises such as weather. Our overall event plan must be taken into consideration.

7. Once your items are unloaded, please park at either SAU parking lot or Maple Avenue School --- do not wait until after you are set up; doing so limits space for others who need to unload.  Please DO NOT park in the Town Hall parking lot or the spaces along Main Street as we strive to keep those spaces open for customers of our area businesses and those with limited mobility.

8. You are responsible for removing and transporting your own trash at the end of each day. We remove the trash from the public receptacles, but you can help us by taking away the trash that you generate to operate your booth. You may not leave unsold items or empty boxes behind.

9. Please carefully review this list of items you MAY NOT SELL. You may not sell guns, ammunition, fireworks, or “knock-off” items such as watches or purses that are falsely represented as originals. We host family friendly events, this means no items depicting inappropriate themes, violence, etc.

10. Per the Internal Revenue Code, all 501c(3) organizations are prohibited in participating in any political campaigns for public office. Therefore, GMSP will not be able to accept applications for vendors soliciting a candidate for office, activity or partisan political organization.

11. GMSP reserves the right to be the sole raffle ticket seller at the event. We raise money through our raffles to support our initiatives and activities. GMSP abides by the state and local regulations as they apply to raffles. If you set up a raffle (even for a drawing happening in the future), you will be asked to remove it. You may sell tickets for performances or events, but not for games of chance.
