The 21st Annual Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off and Regatta is almost here! Over 20 GMSP volunteers have been hard at work planning this much-anticipated event to take place October 15-16. Thanks to the NH Giant Pumpkin Growers Association, we'll have giant pumpkins to weigh, carve, drop, and race. Centered in Goffstown Village, The weekend will be filled with all things pumpkin: pumpkin painting, crafts, carving, games, the annual pumpkin cook-off, and, of course, the Giant Pumpkin Weigh-In on Saturday, 10/15, and the Giant Pumpkin Regatta on Sunday, 10/16.
There will be over 90 local vendors, live music, fantastic food, art, and fun for all ages. Check out GMSP on Facebook, Instagram, or our website, goffstownmainstreet.org for a schedule of events.
Additional community activities will include the book sale at Goffstown Public Library, a yard sale at the Congregational Church, pumpkin painting at Goffstown Ace Hardware, plus specials and activities in our local shops and restaurants.
The Art Show-Off returns again this year in the Town Hall on both days, where you can vote for your favorite Goffstown student artwork. For those with a competitive spirit, check out goffstownmainstreet.org/regatta to participate in the pumpkin cook-off, pie-eating, or pet costume contests. The Prince and Princess contest is now open at the Goffstown Public Library where boys and girls ages 5-11 guess the number of candies in the pumpkin jar until October 9th. Winners are crowned Prince and Princess and will ride in the giant pumpkin mobile right before the Regatta race on Sunday.
